'Villa Crono' is ideally located on prestigious Pine Tree Drive in Miami Beach. It was built in the mid-20's when Miami Beach skyline was far less imposing. One might have seen the Atlantic Ocean in the distance from the second floor in those days. Today. You would be able to see the Ocean from the second floor when you build your home on the adjacent one acre lot. Now, this magnificent mansion sits directly across the Intracoastal Waterway from the most elegant and tallest hotels and condominiums that line Collins Avenue. This one acre of prime estate backs up onto the Intracoastal and provides a constantly changing panorama as the yachts and sailing ships pass by.

One enters the property through a gated driveway and past the guest and staff quarters. After passing the quarters, the driveway ends in a circular drive that leads to the wrought iron and glass entrance. A bronze statue, serving as a fountain, is located behind a bank of colorful flowers in the middle of the circle. The fountains and statuary on the property complement the Mediterranean style architecture of both the guesthouse and the main building. The red barrel-tiled roof of both houses carries through the Italianate theme. Villa Crono was totally renovated and fully air conditioned in the mid-90's.


Perhaps the perfect spot for a Family gathering would be the pool where cocktails could be served from the dining cabana and the accompanying 2,000 square foot lawn could be tented to seat 160 or more. The view from the lawn and pool area is breathtaking in the evenings as one sees the waterway and the towering hotels on the horizon. Deep water dockage with direct ocean access and no fixed bridges compliment this beautiful estate.

The current Owner is the Honorable Robert Keith Gray. Mr. Gray was the Chairman and CEO of Hill & Knowlton, Inc. Worldwide, Co-Chairman of 1981 Presidential Inaugural, Director of Communications for Reagon-Bush Campaign, Director of Presidential Personnel, Secretary of the Cabinet-Eisenhower Administration, Special Assistant to the Secretary of Navy and holds multiple Board positions for many International Organizations. Mr. Gray purchased the Villa Crono Estate in 1994.
